Iron sword guard (tsuba) with dark patinated surface, decorated with applied silver blossoms and gold-inlaid spider web with spider
Iron tsuba with rounded rectangular form, decorated with inlaid silver and gold motifs: a flying insect upper right, a peony blossom and stem upper left, a butterfly lower left, and a ladybug near the center opening. Japanese script and a seal cartouche in inlay at right of the central blade aperture.
