Erich Heckel
Genius, vol. 1, no. 2 (1920)1920

Not on view
Woodcut print, close-up head portrait in bold black and white with angular, jagged planes and thick carved lines, face tilted downward to the left
Lithograph depicting two figures in close proximity, faces turned toward each other and arms intertwined, rendered with expressive, textured mark-making in dark gray tones against a lighter ground. A cursive signature appears at lower left.
Woodcut print in stark black and white; a bald, broad-shouldered man in a formal suit with a decorative medallion at his collar stands in the foreground, rendered with bold angular lines. A dense crowd of small figures, architectural forms, and jagged geometric shapes fills the background.
