Eighteenth-century woman's gown on a mannequin, cream silk with polychrome floral embroidery, wide panniers skirt, green ribbon ladder trim down the front, straw hat with coral ribbon
18th-century women's robe à la française displayed on a mannequin, rear view. Cream silk fabric printed with scattered multicolored floral bouquets in red, blue, yellow, and green. Fitted bodice with robings, elbow-length sleeves with ruffled trim, and a full skirt with back pleats. Accessorized with a flat-brimmed hat and red ribbon.
Wool embroidery on linen featuring a floral bouquet: a large blue six-petaled flower at top, a pink daisy-like bloom at right, and three red berries at left, with green stems and leaves, worked in satin and chain stitches.
Crewel embroidery on natural linen ground depicting a floral bouquet: a large red poppy with dark outlines at top, a yellow daisy below left, green feathery leaves, small pink and blue buds, worked in satin and stem stitches.
