Persia Sash. 18th century Compound weave. Silk, silver on a white silk core, gilt on a yellow silk core, gilt vine. Field is decorated with two narrow bands. One has an undulating floral vine bearing blossoms, and the other a red medallion. Both on a gold ground. At each end is a rectangular panel with five cusped medallions enclosing wreaths; within the wreaths is an ogival leaf medallion enclosing blue flowers.
