The artist (1890–1918). The Estate of Alfred Spitzer (1861–1923), Vienna as of 1923; By descent to his daughter Edith Spitzer Neumann (1902–2002), Vienna and New York [1]; [Galerie St. Etienne, New York, 1966]; transferred to the Kallir Family Foundation, New York, 2024; given in 2026 to LACMA.


[1]: Spitzer was forced to emigrate from Vienna in 1938 and lived in New York from 1940 on.
