Provenance

The artist (1890–1918). Fritz Lampl (1892–1955), Vienna and London [1]; John Kallir (1923–2022), New York; by descent to the Kallir Family Foundation, 2022; given in 2025 to LACMA.

[1]: Per Lampl collector's stamp on the work’s verso. Lampl emigrated from Vienna in 1938 and settled in London.
