Man's Formal Kimono-style Jacket (haori) with Scenes of Traditional Japanese Dance and Western Balletlate Meiji period (1868-1912) - Taishō period (1912-1926), 1900-1926

Dark charcoal silk kimono displayed with sleeves extended, showing two small white family crests and a colorful multi-banded obi with a detailed narrative scene
Haori jacket displayed flat, with wide sleeves, in panels of white, tan, and dark brown silk. The chest features an applied scene depicting a group of figures in traditional Japanese dress, rendered in the style of ukiyo-e genre painting, alongside a green panel with a white embroidered or appliquéd ballet dancer.
