Late afternoon--The North Pacific Ocean, Point Conception – No. 3, The Santa Barbara Channel, Jamala Valley Road, Santa Barbara County, California, United States Point Conception is the physical, geographical and geological point that demarks Southern California from Northern California, where the Santa Barbara Channel meets the Pacific Ocean. The Clamish name for this place is Humquq meaning ‘The Raven Comes’. Humquq is the "Western Gate", through which the souls of the dead could pass between the mortal world and the heavenly paradise of Similaqsa. 2018, printed 2019
