Japanese armor garment displayed flat, with navy blue laced side panels and multicolored horizontal front panels embroidered with crests and floral motifs
Japanese armor do (cuirass), back view, with horizontal rows of navy and light blue lacing in alternating vertical columns, coral-beaded lower border, and floral brocade at the collar.
Textile work densely covered in rows of looped and knotted yarn tufts in turquoise and navy blue, mounted on dark rectangular tabs, with a central vertical seam and a bottom border of peach and black-and-white patterned elements.
Detail of Japanese armor (yoroi), featuring lacquered scales laced with dark blue cords (odoshi) on both sides, and a central do body plate with horizontal bands of white, tan, and coral-red painted leather bearing stenciled floral and roundel motifs; a braided green and white himo cord ties at center front.
