Tsukamoto Kyokusai

Carved wooden sphere covered in an intricate openwork network of interlocking ribbon-like scrolls and curls, in warm caramel-brown wood with a polished surface
Carved wood netsuke in a rounded form, densely carved with intertwining flower petals and curling leaves in warm honey-brown tones, with openwork passages throughout; a small incised seal mark visible at lower right.
Boxwood netsuke carved in the round as a chrysanthemum bloom, with deeply undercut overlapping petals radiating from a central knot, a small insect figure perched at upper left, and a small carved seal mark visible on its body.
