Peter Keler
Staatliches Bauhaus in Weimar 1919-1923circa 1923

Not on view
Abstract painting with five rectangles in black, gray, and white on a white ground, arranged in a diagonal staircase pattern
Abstract composition on white ground within a black border: a soft-edged circular form with dense black center fading to a fine speckled halo in the upper half, above a horizontal gray band and a centered gray rectangle at bottom.
Graphic composition with five geometric and calligraphic elements on white: two gray squares with circles (one white, one black) in the upper register; a central receding concentric square creating an illusion of depth; and two paired rectangular panels below featuring bold cursive script with diagonal lines, one on white ground and one inverted on black.
Architectural design print on white ground, showing a flat unfolded elevation plan divided into three labeled sections—Seite, Decke, Seite—in German text above. The central panel features geometric shapes in yellow, black, blue, and gray, with two bold red arrows pointing in opposite directions. Vertical German text reading "DURCH" appears at right in red and black letterforms.
Black and white print of an abstract constructivist composition: a vertical assemblage of geometric forms including a tilted grid, triangular frame, horizontal ladder-like bands, and a rectangular base, rendered in gray, black, and white with crisp edges.
Pencil and ink drawing combining mechanical and organic forms, arranged along a grid of ruled horizontal and vertical lines. Concentric circles, curved biomorphic shapes, and geometric elements including a funnel and cylindrical forms are distributed across the composition, with a looping freehand line weaving through the center. Signature visible at lower right.
