Curatorial Notes

Few early Qur’an manuscripts remain intact, while now-detached pages survive in substantial numbers. Single pages are at times tentatively reunited based on the number of lines per page and by close similarities in the script and illumination. This page's fifteen lines and distinctive verse markers (in gold) enable it to be linked to other folios in museum collections.
