Fisherman’s New Year’s Festival Robe (maiwa) with Chinese Boys (karako)1933-1966

Full-length steel-blue kimono displayed on stands, with bold painted decoration of a fish, lobster, ceramic jar, and rounded object along the lower hem
Kosode-style kimono in teal blue silk, displayed on a stand. Upper back features a painted crane in flight carrying a round red mon with a floral motif. Lower skirt area depicts a lively group of five rotund figures in colorful robes holding drums and musical instruments, rendered in bold red, orange, blue, and black.
