(3) Born in Hungary in 1921, Stephen Hahn spent his early years in Paris and came to New York following World War II. Hahn established his gallery in Manhattan and later became an advisor to Norton Simon, representing him at auctions at Sotheby’s and Christie’s. See Suzanne Muchnic, Odd Man In: Norton Simon and the Pursuit of Culture (Berkeley and Los Angeles: University of California Press, 1998), pp. 60, 62.
