Woman's Robe à l'anglaise Ensemble1780-1790

Decorative arts display of a late 18th-century cream gown with floral sprigs, billowing white fichu, elbow-length ruffled cuffs, and a straw hat with feathers, shown from behind on a white mannequin
18th-century women's dress displayed on a mannequin, shown from the back. Cream-colored silk or cotton fabric with small scattered floral embroidery; fitted bodice with green floral embroidered trim at the neckline, full gathered skirt. Mannequin wears a powdered wig and a wide-brimmed hat trimmed with white feathers and ribbon.
Embroidered linen stomacher or fichu with a symmetrical floral design: two dark red tulips flank a central stem bearing blue flowers and buds, with green and yellow foliage and a small cluster of burgundy flowers at the base, edged with blue trim on cream fabric.
Cream silk dress, rear view, with a fitted bodice featuring a V-shaped back panel densely embroidered with multicolored floral sprigs including tulips, cornflowers, and leafy stems; scattered small embroidered flowers on the sleeves and full gathered skirt; vertical pintucks at center back.
