Chinese export porcelain plate with scalloped rim, decorated in famille rose enamels. Central medallion features a conch shell within a wreath of fruits and flowers. The broad white well is scattered with fish, vegetables, and marine motifs. The cavetto rim bears a European armorial cartouche, pink ribbon bows, floral sprays, small landscape vignettes, and a Latin inscription reading "SALDANHA" and "BUQUERQUE DE AL" in banderoles.

Cartouches inscribed "SALDANHA" on both lid and body, with a heraldic coat of arms on the front. Ram's-head handles on either side; naturalistic animal-form finial in orange and gold on the lid.
