Woman’s Unlined Kimono (Hitoe) with Abstract Treesmid-Shōwa period (1926-1989), circa 1950

Kimono displayed flat with extended sleeves, charcoal ground fabric printed with starburst branch motifs and multicolored dot clusters connected by wavy gold and white ribbon-like lines
Textile fragment with a dark brown ground, decorated with stylized tree forms rendered in white brushwork, their canopies filled with clusters of small multicolored squares in red, blue, green, yellow, and orange; sinuous orange and gray bands weave between the trees across the surface.
