Large Italian maiolica vessel with two serpent-form handles, painted with an oval cartouche depicting a standing bearded saint holding a key and book, surrounded by cobalt blue, amber, and green acanthus scrollwork and floral motifs
Maiolica two-handled storage jar with bulbous form; central oval cartouche depicts a kneeling haloed figure in robes with hands raised, labeled 'S. Stefano' in Latin script; surrounding decoration of orange and blue scrolling acanthus, foliage, and large flower in polychrome tin glaze.
