Japanese lacquer box with rounded rectangular form, decorated in maki-e technique: dense gold and silver autumn grasses sweep across a black ground scattered with fine gold nashiji flecks, small white dots suggest dew on the blades.
Rectangular lacquer box with glossy black ground, decorated in gold makie with autumn grasses and leafy shrubs across the lower surface; a single Japanese character rendered in silver inlay appears near the upper center.
