Rectangular black lacquered box with mother-of-pearl inlaid decoration on the lid, featuring a central altar or pedestal flanked by two candlesticks, with an eye and radiating rays above; surrounding inlaid motifs include an hourglass with wings, a compass, a beehive, a star, a pointing hand, and a trowel, all with iridescent shell surfaces.
