Japanese lacquer box shown open, with lid and base separated, displaying a rounded trapezoidal form with deep brown nashiji (gold-flecked) ground and scattered small gold square inlays; interior reveals a fitted rectangular tray.
Two crescent-shaped vessel forms on a white surface; the upper piece features densely packed iridescent stripes in blue, purple, and gold; the lower piece has a heavily textured dark metallic surface with organic, lichen-like relief patterns.
Two leaf-shaped lacquerware vessels on a white surface. The upper piece features fine diagonal stripes in iridescent blue, purple, pink, and gold. The lower vessel is open, showing a speckled gold and copper interior with small gold inlays, and a rough stone-textured exterior.
Small lacquer tray in a folded leaf or clam-shell form, covered in warm golden-brown nashiji sprinkled lacquer with scattered rectangular and linear gold flakes throughout the surface.
Ceramic vessel with asymmetric crescent form, opening to a square interior cavity. Speckled gold and dark brown glaze covers the surface, decorated with inlaid gold foil squares and thin gold lines. The base has a rough, dark gray textured finish contrasting with the polished upper surface.
