Born in Lima, Peru, Gabriel Acevedo trained in the visual arts and in film production in Puebla and Mexico City. He invents fantastic worlds where real-life referents and animated characters coexist. In Exterminio, a copulating couple flies over carefully selected aerial backdrops taken from magazines such as National Geographic. Their delirious flight is echoed by the changing tempo of the music -- a symbolic and humorous reenactment of the various stages of the sexual act. Ilona Katzew, 2008
