Lacquered wood sculpture of a seated Buddha in lotus position, hands resting in dhyana mudra, wearing layered monastic robes with carved drapery folds; darkened black and red lacquer surface shows extensive flaking to reveal reddish underlayer, with curled ushnisha atop the head.
