This image of cars in a parking lot, partially hidden by trees, seems too ordinary for attention at first. A closer look reveals the framing of the central car by the screen of the trees and their shadows along the ground. The voyeuristic experience of seeing something hidden creates an illicit tension. The bright colors that describe a scene empty of people add to the sinister effect.
