Museum display of an 18th-century women's ensemble on a white mannequin: cream floral-striped silk polonaise gown with blue stripes, sage green underskirt, wide straw hat, and white fichu
18th-century silk robe à la polonaise on a dress form, shown from a three-quarter rear view. Cream ground fabric with a woven pattern of blue stripes and small floral sprigs; skirt looped up at the back revealing an olive green quilted underskirt. White lace fichu at the neckline, elbow-length sleeves with ruffles, and a wide-brimmed straw hat atop a white powdered wig.
