Porcelain plate with deep cobalt blue ground covered in gilt scale pattern. Three shaped white reserves around the rim depict painted exotic birds in landscape settings; a central white medallion features a painted butterfly in pink and yellow. Gilt borders frame each reserve and the plate's edge.
