Nihonga painter from Fukuoka. Moved to Kyoto in 1905 to study with Kawai Gyokudo. He participate in national exhibitions from the second Bunten in 1908, most Teiten, through the Nitten of 1949. In 1954, he painted the stage pine and bamboo for the Kanze Noh Theater in Tokyo.
