The acclaimed 1969 novel Shazdeh Ehtejab by Houshang Golshiri was made into a film in 1974 by Bahman Farmanara. The movie poster was created by Iran’s foremost illustrator and graphic designer, Farshid Mesghali. The book, film, and poster collectively mark significant milestones in literature, cinema, and graphic design. In this poster, Mesghali masterfully captures the core idea of the story by presenting its protagonist as a faceless Qajar prince whose anonymous character encourages viewers to identify him with symbols of royalty and power, both past and present.
