Work Coat (ōtsuzure)

Japan, produced in Nothern Niigata Prefecture; worn in Yamagata Prefecture, Shonai, Meiji period (1868-1912)
Costumes; outerwear
Wisteria fiber (fuji) warp and wisteria fiber wrapped with paper (washi) weft plain weave, cotton plain weave, tie-resist dyed warp and weft (kasuri)
Center back length: 46 1/2 in. (118.11 cm) sleeve to sleeve: 52 1/2 in. (133.35 cm)
