Born in Tokyo, O Jun graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in with a Bachelor's Degree in 1980 and a Master's Degree in 1982, having specialized in oil painting. He lived in Barcelona between 1984-1985 and in Dusseldorf from 1990-1994, receiving a grant from the Ministry of Education of Japan to visit Buenos Aires in 2007.
