Here, members of the TGP printed four volantes (flyers) on one large sheet of paper. The text and linocut images by José Chávez Morado, Xavier Guerrero, and Leopoldo Méndez were transferred to a plate beforehand, which allowed them to be printed quickly and efficiently. The large sheets were then folded and cut before distribution; Chávez Morado’s volante (see M.2003.92.32) shows the end result of this process. The texts and images urge readers to unite against political opponents who oppose progress. Volantes like these demonstrate the usefulness of graphic or illustrated propaganda to promote political and social causes.
