While close friends Harrison McIntosh and Rupert Deese shared studio space and glazes for more than fifty years, their distinct styles reflect different approaches to production. McIntosh threw unique vessels, ornamenting them with precise, hand-drawn patterns such as the circles on this jar. In contrast, Deese developed a line of functional forms that were slip cast in molds, including his popular cocktail pitcher.
