Mexican designer Pepe Mendoza created inlaid brass accessories and furniture, ranging from tables and lamps to small dishes and hardware. Though period advertisements promote the work as brass and turquoise, the latter a stone long associated with Mesoamerican culture, the inlay is actually an imitation material. Made in Mexico, the pieces were retailed both there and in the United States.
