About this artist
1943-1990, assigned to and renovated Kaiseiji. From 1990 to 1998 he was the 642nd abbot of Myōshinji, Kyoto. Bunshō 春見文勝 was a direct pupil of Nakahara Nantenbō, and later of Deiryū Kutsu. Bunshō later became the abbot of Kaiseiji in Nishinomiya, where he had studied with these two Zen masters, and became head priest (Kanchō) of Myōshinji, Kyoto. (born in Minogamo, Gifu Prefecture)
